Atelier GK is a multidisciplinary design practice based in the Netherlands, working across architecture, interior design, product design, photography, and filmmaking.

Founded in 2024 by Gönül Karahan, the studio is shaped by an international perspective and a cross-disciplinary design approach. Gönül began her architectural education in Turkey, where she earned her undergraduate degree from Izmir Institute of Technology and later completed her master’s degree at Uludağ University.

Throughout her academic and professional career, she gained experience in several renowned architectural offices, contributing to projects of varying scales in both Turkey and the Netherlands. Her work spans architecture, interiors, and product design, reflecting an integrated approach to spatial thinking and design.

Today, as a registered architect in the Netherlands, Gönül leads Atelier GK and continues her practice with a strong commitment to thoughtful, context-driven architecture. The studio’s work is guided by a careful exploration of atmosphere, materiality, and spatial experience, with the aim of creating meaningful and enduring environments.

Building on her international background and professional experience, Gönül established Atelier GK as a platform for developing carefully crafted, bespoke design solutions that balance artistic sensibility with technical precision.
